If you’d told the younger me I’d be editor of Fashion Quarterly one day, I may not have believed you. Growing up, FQ was my lifeblood. I lived for the subscriber copies my mother had delivered to our rural home and spent more time poring over them than she did. The fashion, beauty products, makeup, hairstyles and shoots were pure escapism for me as I daydreamed of a stylish adult life. Fast-forward 20 years, and here I am at the helm, and I can honestly say there has never been a better time to work with this iconic brand. The magazine will always be at the heart of what we do, but we now have so many other FQ touchpoints
— including award-winning events and social and digital platforms — to keep our audience in the know with our high-quality fashion, beauty and lifestyle updates. This is an era of empowerment for women like we’ve never seen before. It’s exciting, and to celebrate, FQ has chosen four key themes for 2018 that reflect the current zeitgeist: Issue One – Future; Issue Two – Freedom; Issue Three – Happiness; and Issue Four – Escapism.
